How to Add Your TRC-20 Token to TronLink

Make your new token appear in TronLink with its logo, symbol and balance.

Once your TRC-20 token is deployed, it won’t automatically appear in every wallet - wallets only show tokens they know about. Adding your token to TronLink as a “custom token” makes it display with its name, symbol and balance. Here’s how, on both desktop and mobile.

Before you start

You’ll need your token’s contract address - the T… address you received when you created the token (also visible on its Tronscan page). Copy it exactly.

Add a token in TronLink (browser extension)

  1. Open the TronLink extension and make sure you’re on the right network (Mainnet).
  2. On the main wallet screen, scroll to the bottom of your token list and click Add Token (or the “+” / “Manage tokens” option).
  3. Choose the TRC20 tab and paste your contract address into the search box.
  4. TronLink will detect the token and show its name and symbol. Toggle it on / confirm.
  5. The token now appears in your wallet with your balance.

Add a token in the TronLink mobile app

  1. Open the app and tap the + or Manage icon near your asset list.
  2. Select Add TokenTRC20.
  3. Paste the contract address; the app fetches the token details.
  4. Enable it to pin it to your wallet home.
Tip: always add tokens by contract address, not by name. Multiple tokens can share a name or symbol - the contract address is the only unique identifier.

It’s not showing up - what now?

  • Wrong network: make sure TronLink is on Mainnet (or Nile if you deployed to testnet).
  • Wrong address: double-check you pasted the full contract address with no spaces.
  • Zero balance: some wallet views hide zero-balance tokens - the supply went to the creator wallet, so check you’re viewing the right account.

Adding your token to other wallets

The process is nearly identical across TRC-20 wallets - find “add/manage tokens,” choose the TRC-20 / TRON network, and paste your contract address:

WalletWhere to add a custom token
TronLinkToken list → Add Token → TRC20 → paste address
Trust WalletTop-right toggle/“+” → search or “Add Custom Token” → select TRON network
OKX WalletManage tokens → Custom token → TRON → paste address
Ledger (via TronLink)Connect Ledger to TronLink, then add the token as above

Helping your holders

Other people will need the contract address too. Publish it prominently on your website and socials, and link to your token’s Tronscan page so anyone can add it and verify it. Making it easy to add is a small but real part of growing your token.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn’t my token automatically listed?

Wallets only auto-list well-known tokens. New tokens must be added by contract address until they gain traction.

Does adding a token cost anything?

No - adding a custom token to your wallet is free and doesn’t touch the blockchain.

Which wallets support my token?

Any TRC-20-compatible wallet. See TRON wallet compatibility.

Will adding the token show my balance automatically?

Yes - once added by contract address, the wallet reads your on-chain balance and displays it. If it shows zero, you’re likely viewing a different account than the one that holds the supply.

Can I add my token’s logo so it’s not a blank icon?

Wallet logos usually appear once a token is submitted to the relevant token-list or the wallet’s asset registry. Until then it may show a generic icon - that’s cosmetic and doesn’t affect the token. Branding it early helps it look legitimate.

Is it safe to paste my contract address publicly?

Yes - the contract address is public information by design. Sharing it is how holders add and verify the correct token. Never share your wallet’s seed phrase or private key, which are entirely different and must stay secret.
